A NOTE ON ARCHITECTURAL REPRESENTATION AND SCALE 

The Miasmatic Network proposes a macro-scale infrastructural intervention spanning a major tidal waterway. Due to the unprecedented physical scale of the municipal architecture and the expansive tri-borough site boundary, attempting to represent the entire project within singular general arrangement drawings would fundamentally compromise the legibility of the highly engineered, biomimetic components.
Consequently, the architectural drawings and technical sections presented within this document are intentionally segmented. Rather than illustrating the complete span at a heavily reduced and uninformative scale, the visual documentation focuses strictly on isolated, representative typologies.
By isolating specific structural nodes, submerged keels, and the kinetic canopy modules, the drawings maintain the rigorous, aerospace-grade resolution required. This strategic fragmentation ensures the complex mechanical integration, material stratigraphy, and marine construction methodologies are communicated with the precise technical clarity demanded by a project of this magnitude.

Systemic Layers  |  Zoning Strategy

The vertical sectional profile reveals the continuous spatial hierarchy of the proposed water network. Sweeping mesh pockets at the upper datums capture atmospheric moisture and channel it down through the core of the architecture, feeding directly into the suspended translucent storage vessels below.
Fluid circulation routes and elevated walkways intersect this vertical process, allowing pedestrians to navigate through the high tension water keels underwater and the integrated condensation gardens above.
Below the primary public realm, the structural ribs and storage elements descend toward the river surface, physically and visually anchoring the fluid infrastructure into the depths of the Thames.
